Who is there for me to hold? What is there for me to mold? Why do I feel the need to sell my soul? In the end I wonder why I let the good things grow cold. This is life, a strife filled night without a linger of light. I still feel the urge to fight but who really wins when no one is right. I can close my eyes and see the light yet the image is distorted and no better than reality's plight. Told I'm not alone in the fight, I shake my head and walk until you are out of sight. Despite all I am told is worth the fight this world is wrong and I know I am right.

Another lonely dusty trail as far as my mind's eye can see. The same shadow lingers close behind whispering to me my failures to hinder my resolve. Drenched in light I find my strength and muddle onwards until oblivion comes again.
